The Need for Spiritual Guides

On the spiritual path, we all need a professional guide. One who has traveled down this path before us and knows all of the pitfalls. This is what the Yogis teach us.

In my own life I have seen the need for such an enlightened guide. The Yogis are much more than they first appear. They are quite Amazing ! I am currently writing about several experiences that I have had the pleasure of being a part of, with them, but they are so much more than I can even write about. How can anyone do justice to them by attempting to use words to describe what a God realized being is? If they are fully God focused, and are at one with the all-mighty in spirit and thought, how can we even begin to describe what that must be like?

I for one am absolutely in a state of wonderment when it comes to the Saints of the world. In my own limited way I have had the great good fortune to experience their splendor. It has effected my life in amazing ways, and they deal with literally millions of people each year, just imagine what they have accomplished on this planet for the good of mankind, and creation. They are selfless, wise, knowing, humorous, playful, joyful, stern, and unconditionally loving role models.

If a Sadguru summons you, you can consider yourself very fortunate indeed. They call you to them when You are ready. You see, they are always ready to receive you, but how many of us are truly ready to be received? You must tune your spiritual antenna (your heart) so that you are open to receiving. They are more than happy to open you up to your true identity, but you have to make yourself ready for that transformation. They also assist greatly in that process as well.

They know what is needed at any given time for your spiritual growth to flourish. Although all that I have said about them is true, I am still not the disciple type. One Guru told me that God is my Guru. He meant that I would never be a good follower of anyone other than God him/herself. This is true. However, I am smart enough to recognize truth when I am in its presence, and I always welcome a true master's assistance on my path.

As the Karmic cycle is ready to be completed, and brought to its final fruition, (bearing the fruit of our labor, or in this case, actions). We realize that there is really no one outside of ourselves to blame for our life, and truly we should not blame ourselves either. Blame is the offspring of judgment, and judgment is the offspring of attachment to illusion. We create our reality through our thoughts, words, actions, beliefs and tendencies. Since this world is said to be illusory by nature, any attachment to it is also an illusion. The enlightened saints have the knowledge of what is real, they therefore possess correct discernment of truth. They are not attached to this illusion we call our reality, instead, they view all things as a play of consciousness, and aspects of God.

Spiritual life can be very confusing. You may have had your own personal struggles with the dichotomous nature of it all. On the one hand the Hindu, and Buddhist Saints preach that one should forsake the worldly pleasures and lures, and engulf yourself in spiritual matters, and thoughts of God. On the other hand, you might have had the personal experience of feeling dis-empowered economically, and socially. This second situation is due to not having an interest in finances, and the conscious avoidance of becoming "Worldly". So, as you can plainly see, the second is a direct effect of the first

You may have adopted the belief that in order to truly become a God-Being, you must have a balance between the Spiritual and the Physical (worldly) aspects of yourself. This belief sings to my heart. This balance is my vision of true mastery.

God alone is the source of our abilities (whatever they may be, or evolve into). My belief is that if all is surrendered unto God, that at least a sort of liberation of burden would be achieved.

The Energy Balls (orbs) you see are actually Yona's Spiritual Masters. At this time in Yona's evolutionary process, his Throat Chakra was fully developed as can be seen by the ball of white light at his throat center - His Throat Chakra was fully Enlightened. This is why he can not tell a lie.

One of the interesting things you may notice is that even though the Spiritual Masters of the world are fully enlightened, they still have their own personalities. This is similar to the many deities in Hinduism. Each of the Hindu deities is considered an aspect of the one God. Each has his/her own manner and attributes. It is easier to identify with God if we have a point of reference. In this case the point of reference is you. That is to say that we use our own experience to measure others. If there is only one deity then everyone who wishes to follow that path must find a commonality with that deity. When a system offers multiple deity aspects of the same God, it affords us choices. Some people are drawn to one aspect over another, but the result is the same.

The Yogis say that "There are many names, and faces, but there is only one Truth". They also say that God is the only Energy in the world. To this, I would add that it has many Frequencies. It is further said that in order to become God-Realized, one must have three things on their side. The first is God's will, and grace (while that sounds like two in and of its self, it is really one). The second is the Guru (Enlightened/God-Realized Teacher) and the third is the labor of the individual (Sadana/Spiritual Practices). They relate this situation to what a boat needs to travel to its destination (we are like this boat). It needs a sail, and a steering mechanism (this is like the Guru catching God's grace, and giving proper direction); it needs the wind to give it motion (this is like God's will). If any one of these ingredients is missing, you will not arrive at your chosen destination. Ok, I can almost hear the gears turning inside of your head, "What if I have a motor boat"? The same principles still apply. You are like the boat. The Guru is like the steering mechanism, and God is like the motor.
